What is sitem-insel?
The Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine (sitem-insel) was set up with the aim of establishing, operating and developing a National Center of Excellence for Translational Medicine and Entrepreneurship in Bern.
What does sitem-insel do?
Sitem-insel’s mission is to improve the general environment for translational medicine in Switzerland. The strategy chosen has three pillars:
sitem Swiss School
University-level courses given by lecturers from industry and academia designed as continuing professional development for specialists. The school offers a CAS, DAS and MAS program.
sitem Enabling Facilities
Specialist R&D labs and facilities for translation for joint use by industry and academia.
sitem Promoting Services
Creation of services for optimising the administrative and regulatory affairs from bench to commercialization.
